Original Abstract Oil Painting by Rashid Ali – 30x48 Inches
The right piece of art for your home can totally change the feel of a room. If you are looking for something modern, quiet but full of energy, then this original oil painting “Abstract” by Pakistani artist Rashid Ali is a great option.
This is a large canvas measuring 30x48 inches and it is meant to look beautiful on the main walls. It is hand painted on durable canvas using high quality oil paints, so it has real texture, depth and character that you simply cannot get from a flat paper print.
A Look at the Colors and Design
This is interesting artwork because of the creative color combination and active brushwork. Rashid Ali avoids using too many bright colors at once, instead he keeps it clean and monochromatic with just the right amount of warm contrast.
- Monochrome Base: The painting is painted in sharp strokes of deep black, charcoal, cool gray and crisp white. These colors sweep across the center of the canvas in a dynamic horizontal rhythm.
- Warm Accents: Gray and black shapes are married with rich copper, burned orange and warm gold. These little warm touches break up the cool colors and give the piece a subtle glow.
- Palette Knife Texture: You can see and feel the heavy layers of paint. The artist built up layers using a palette knife to create a blocky, geometric surface that had a structured, three-dimensional quality.
- Soft Light Background: The background is still soft with washed out whites and light grey's. This allows the dark abstract forms to stand out cleanly without the overall room feeling dark.
Where Will This Painting Look Best?
With its neutral black and gray theme with soft, warm highlights, this artwork is super easy to match with different colors of interior.
- Living Room: Put it right above your main sofa set or behind a dining table. It grounds the room without fighting your pillows or drapes.
- Modern Offices & Reception Areas: The sharp gray and black color scheme gives corporate offices, boardrooms or waiting lounges a fresh and professional appearance.
- Bedrooms: If you like a calm interior in neutrals like beige, white or charcoal, this canvas adds sophistication without being loud.
Hand-Painted Oil on Canvas Quality
You want something that lasts when you buy fine art. Here’s why investing in a real oil painting is worth it:
- Long-Lasting Paint: The top quality oil paints keep their color for years. The colors are accurate and do not yellow or fade like typical printed posters.
- Dynamic Light Interaction: The paint is thickly applied, so sunlight or lamps in your room cause little micro-shadows on the texture during the day. And as the room changes light, so does the painting.
- 100% Unique: No two pieces are alike as each and every stroke is placed by the artist’s hand. You are getting a true one of a kind piece of art.
