Rashid Ali Black Polo Player Action Oil On Canvas 24x36
Rashid Ali Black Polo Player Action Oil On Canvas is an original oil on canvas artwork measuring 24 x 36 inches by Pakistani artist Rashid Ali. This is a 100% hand-painted original artwork, not a print.
This high-energy 24x36 horizontal painting captures the speed and power of a polo match in dramatic monochrome with yellow accents. The composition features a black polo horse in full gallop with extended legs and flowing mane, rendered in bold black, white, and grey palette knife strokes with fiery yellow-orange highlights on its chest suggesting motion and muscle. The polo rider is dressed in black jersey, white pants, and brown helmet, holding a long polo mallet, face rendered in yellow abstract style. A large yellow and black polo ball is airborne in the top right, creating focal action. The background is an abstract expressionist blend of light grey, white, and vibrant yellow drips and splashes with gestural brushstrokes conveying dust, speed, and atmosphere. Rashid Ali's signature textured technique uses strong black-white contrast with a single bold yellow accent, dynamic lines for reins, and heavy impasto to evoke movement, sport, and athleticism.
