Masterful Color Palette and Textured Brushwork
Momin Khan has a masterful use of color to create depth and energy across this panoramic canvas. Upper background of bright warm yellow and gold tones create a sunny desert mood. The light background colors allow the riders’ vivid red, orange and royal blue jackets to stand out in crisp clarity.
Thick, careful strokes of oil paint focus on the muscular build of the horses' bodies. In the center, bright white stallions shine out, with brown and black horses adding weight and balance on the sides. Fine white flecks across the canvas mimic airborne dust blown up by galloping hooves. Every single detail shows the artist’s high technical skill and passion.
