Dynamic Polo Abstract Artwork by Mashkoor Raza (12x16 Inches)
This is an original oil painting on canvas by the famous Pakistani artist Mashkoor Raza. This is a visual piece, 12 x 16 inches (or 30 x 40 centimeters), showing a polo player on a horse, during an exciting match. This is not a soft pastel composition. This is based on a glowing orange background with cool gray and bold black outlines.
This original work was signed in the lower left corner by Mashkoor Raza as Mashkoor 23. Each purchase includes an Official Certificate of Authenticity. All offered directly from Expert Framing Art Gallery. It can be an expressive wall accent for a modern office, a reading room, or a contemporary living space.
Action, Movement, and Subject Matter
Polo is a traditional sport that involves speed, power and quick turns. In this composition, Mashkoor Raza renders that quick field motion in strong abstract forms. The polo rider is leaning forward, holding the thin reins and the mallet stick, and wearing a round red helmet.
The horse is made up of black lines, with yellow patches scattered across its body. Below the horse, gray and purple-grey streaks mark the dusty polo ground in a match. The top of the canvas has a glow of bright orange paint, bringing intense energy and sunshine to the whole scene.
Palette and Painting Technique
The artist applied rich oil paints with brush strokes and palette knife layering:
- Vibrant Orange: Covers the upper background for a warm sunset feel above the polo field.
- Crimson Red: Highlights the rider helmet and important body strokes on the galloping horse.
- Sun Yellow: Brights are added to the horse neck & torso area.
- Cool Grey and White: Contrast is added at the bottom to make the central figures stand out clearly.
- Deep Black Outlines: Solid gestural lines that organize the silhouette of the horse and rider.
