The Powerful Story Behind the Eight Horses and Red Sun
In traditional fine art, eight galloping horses represent speed, success, unity and endless prosperity. Mashkoor Raza has captured this classic theme with great artistic passion. A bold red sun shines bright in the top center of the canvas against a soft Prussian blue sky. Below it eight horses race together through field grass shown in rich shades of burned umber and warm sienna. The fascinating image of the cool sky and the red burning sun attracts everyone’s attention immediately.
Masterful Brushwork and Signature Color Palette
Mashkoor Raza is known the world over for his flowing lines and vibrant color combinations. This masterpiece is made with thick layers of premium oil paints on strong woven canvas.
Key visual highlights include:
- The broad black and brown outlines define the strong chests and faces of each of the running horses.
- The pure white highlights on the middle horses separate them clearly from the background.
- Quick strokes of paint near the bottom suggest real rising dust and wind.
- The glowing, vermillion red sun is a natural center of attention for the whole composition.
Perfect Wall Placement for Extra Large Canvases
This piece is 3-feet tall and 6-feet wide (36x72 inches), designed to command large open spaces with grace. It makes a great center piece above a main sofa in the living room, a long dining table, a grand entry way in a villa or a corporate board room wall. The warm red and brown tones add a touch of warmth to neutral walls and look great with dark wood interior paneling.
