Two Women - Autumn Embrace by Maqbool Ahmed (24x30 Inches)
It is not always easy to paint autumn that hugs, that moment when two women walk as one and orange leaves explode around them like confetti. That's what this warm masterpiece by legendary Pakistani modernist Maqbool Ahmed does. This is a 24 x 30 inches oil on canvas, figurative abstraction, vibrant, intimate, deeply joyful. This is pure autumn fire, feminine sisterhood, orange veil and aqua air that brings contemporary Pakistani modern art and breezy movement into your space.
This original painting is AVAILABLE with Expert Framing.
The Story and Visual Flow
At first glance you see two women in red, walking away together, one arm around the other, petals flying. Left woman, back turned, head dark green black bowl, neck deep olive, body vermillion red orange, hips voluptuous, left hip black shadow, right thigh orange flame, left arm raised behind head holding yellow petal, right arm at side yellow green.
Right woman, larger, right side, head bowed left, hooded green yellow, face glowing tangerine orange, neck deep blue green, chest golden orange yellow, blouse translucent, waist deep midnight blue black, hips powerful red with cobalt blue streaks right side, arm extended left over friend's shoulder, orange sleeve. Around them, background is soft pale aqua sky, with exploding confetti of yellow, orange, green, white, brown leaves top and sides, like autumn wind. Brushwork is bold, thick impasto red, juicy palette knife orange yellow, feathery blue, expressive, warm. Signature bottom right Maqbool in black. You don't just see two women, you feel autumn embrace, you feel friendship walking through falling leaves, you feel warmth of red bodies against cool blue air, you feel sisterhood in wind.
