Ali Abbas – Contemporary Pakistani Artist

Ali Abbas, a renowned Pakistani artist, has been awarded the prestigious Tamgha-i-Imtiaz for his exceptional contributions to art. He has received a Gold Medal from Spain and accolades from countries including the U.K., Italy, Hong Kong, and Thailand. Abbas curated the international watercolor biennale “Pearls of Peace” and authored thirteen watercolor books.

A master of watercolor and counted among famous artists, he has exhibited globally, served on juries, and conducted workshops, earning comparisons to legends like Abdul Rehman Chugtai and Rembrandt Van Rijn. His innovative works focus on the Thar desert, Sufism, and Sufi life in Sindh, establishing him as a world-famous artist. With over 30 years of teaching experience, he is a senior faculty member at MUET, Jamshoro, shaping future Pakistani artists.
